BIO SAFETY CABINET
Make Dinesh Scientific
DESCRIPTION
A specialized piece of lab equipment called a biosafety cabinet (BSC) is made to offer a controlled atmosphere for handling hazardous compounds, especially biological agents that could endanger the worker, the surrounding area, or the samples they are handling. Maintaining the integrity of pathogen-related investigations and safeguarding researcher safety depend on the use of biosafety cabinets.
FEATURES:
- 30% of the air is expelled, while 70% is recirculated.
- A canopy exhaust connection allows the Type A2 cabinet’s HEPA-filtered exhaust air either vented outside or back into the space.
- A fraction of mixed downflow and inflow air from a same plenum is known as HEPA-filtered downflow air.
- All biologically contaminated ducts and plenums have negative pressure air surrounding them. The work area is protected from the negative pressure by double wall plenums.
- High efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters, which are incredibly effective, are passed via air drawn through a pre-filter. The HEPA filter’s lifespan is significantly increased by the installed prefilter. Equipped with a HEPA filter, it complies with EU -14 Grade regulations and has an efficiency rating of over 99.9995% for 0.3 μ. The filter is composed of imported micro fine glass fiber media that is fire retardant and water resistant.Higher air flow volumes are accommodated by the design of these filters.
- Prefilters with an efficiency of down to 10 microns are made of non-woven synthetic material, complying to EU – 4 / G–4 Grade, and featuring HDPE mesh and Al expanded mesh on the air-leaving side. It is possible to clean these filters.
- Placed atop a robust tubular stand featuring retractable castors.
- Aerodynamic airflow grills guard against obstructions and ensure safety.
- Available with UV and fluorescent interlock
- The ergonomic and comfortable 10 degree slanted front window reduces fatigue by providing a comfortable head and elbow rest posture. The counterbalanced sash opens to a standard 200 mm ± 10 mm aperture, making it easy to access the work zone and improving user safety.
PROTECTION OF THE CASS II BIOSAFETY CABINET:
- Particulate matter is dispersed throughout the chamber by high-velocity jet nozzles that introduce filtered air into it. High-velocity air is blasted through HEPA filters.
- The contaminated air is drawn in by the lower part of the air showers and then passes through a pre-filter placed at the base to reach the blower supply plenum.
- This is a continuous process that keeps the air inside the chamber filtered and recirculated without any interaction with the outside world.
FRONT AND UPPER COVER:
Maintenance and replacement of the filter, blower, and front control panel are made easy by the removable top and front covers.
MATERIAL OF CONSTRUCTION:
The material of the working table is stainless steel (SS-304). The external cabinet is made of stainless steel (SS-304) OR properly powder-coated CRC sheet (as requested).
FRONT SASH/WINDOW:
For a clear view of the interior, the front sash is made of toughened transparent glass. Furthermore, it offers the best resistance and protection against dangerous UV rays, shielding the wearer from UV radiation exposure.
VALVE-FITTED DRAIN TROUGH:
If there are any liquid spills, they may be easily cleaned up and disposed of in the base trough.
UV LAMP DECONTAMINATION:
The motor blower and UV light, which emit UV rays with a wavelength of 253.7 nanometers, are interlocked, and they turn on and off in tandem with the opening and closing of the front sash. A timer (Option) is used by UV lights to regulate the decontamination cycle and extend their lifespan. After the predetermined amount of time for decontamination has passed, the UV lamp turns off and turns the fluorescent lamp ON.
SPLASH PROOF POWER SOURCE SOCKET:
When using tiny electrical devices inside the cabinet, splash-proof outlets are provided for comfort.
Grid for Front Airflow Intake:
Potential turbulence and pollution are eliminated by the aerodynamically built front airflow intake grid.
CASTOR WHEELS AND FLOOR STAND:
The Floor Stand is constructed from sturdy tubular pipe that has been properly powder coated. It also has robust castor wheels that rotate and a complete brake system on the front wheels.
OPTIONS:
- Instead of using a static pressure manometer, a magnetic pressure differential gauge is used to track filter pressure.
- Differential pressure monitor (DPM) alert for electronic filter choke.
- An LCD display and air velocity sensor are features of a microprocessor-based digital controller.
- Controller with Air Velocity Sensor Display Controller.
- A burner for gas.
- 5 foot U.V. germicidal tube spare.
